Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Our intake team will take the time to learn about your needs and preferences, then recommend the provider who is the best fit based on your goals, insurance coverage, and scheduling availability.

  • A member of our intake team will contact you by phone and email within 24–48 business hours after your intake form has been submitted.

  • Yes. Hope Counseling Services is in-network with Aetna, Ambetter, AmeriHealth Caritas, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, NH Healthy Families, UMR, and WellSense. During the intake process, we'll verify your insurance benefits, review your coverage, and answer any questions you may have.

    If you don't see your insurance listed, we still encourage you to contact us. Some plans may have carve-outs, single-case agreements may be available, or you may have out-of-network benefits that can help cover the cost of services.

  • No. Hope Counseling Services does not currently offer autism evaluations or autism screening. If you have concerns that you or your child may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we're happy to provide referrals to qualified providers who offer comprehensive autism evaluations.

  • We provide counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults. During the intake process, we'll help match you with a provider who specializes in your age group and specific needs.

  • Yes. We offer telehealth medication management services for clients throughout New Hampshire. If an in-person visit is required for certain medications, appointments are available at our Manchester and Pittsfield locations. At this time, in-person medication management appointments are not available at our Charlestown location.

  • Our clinicians are licensed and credentialed to provide care in New Hampshire. If you live outside of New Hampshire, you are welcome to receive services in person at one of our New Hampshire office locations. However, telehealth services are generally only available when you are physically located in a state where your provider is licensed and authorized to practice at the time of your appointment. If you have questions about your specific situation, our intake team would be happy to help.

  • At this time, Hope Counseling Services is not enrolled with Medicare and cannot bill Medicare for counseling services. If Medicare is your primary insurance, please contact our intake team. We'll be happy to answer your questions and help you explore your options, including referrals to Medicare-participating providers if appropriate.

  • No. While we do not offer comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, we do provide brief psychological assessments to help evaluate and diagnose a variety of concerns. Our assessment services include:

    • ADHD

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Mood disorders

    • PTSD and trauma-related disorders

    • Other common mental health concerns

    *If indicated, we can also provide referrals for comprehensive neuropsychological or autism evaluations when more extensive testing is needed.

  • At this time, we do not have any providers who specialize in marriage or couples counseling. If you're looking for couples therapy, we're happy to provide referrals to trusted providers in the area who specialize in this type of treatment.
